As a Software Developer – Aviation Safety Training you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting educational experiences that align with learning and competency-based outcomes, whilst complying with regulatory requirements. In this role you will be involved in all stages of the software delivery lifecycle, solving business problems through innovation and application of best practice software development techniques, including agile and lean thinking to extend and improve our service and product offering across Aviation Safety Training.
To be successful within this role, you’ll have:
3+ years of experience as a software engineer or related field
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline
An understanding of instructional design principles and learning theories
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in education technology, including compliance with data privacy and security
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Good knowledge of important software design considerations: Security, performance& data privacy
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
Proven experience in software development, ideally with a focus on developing virtual reality or immersive experiences
Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, C++, or Unity scripting
Familiarity with game engine platforms (Unity and Unreal Engine) and VR development platforms
Good knowledge of important software design considerations: security, performance & data privacy, user experience
