Job Description
As a Senior Java Developer, you will take ownership of designing, developing, and maintaining core features of our cloud-based pre-payroll and payroll platform. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll leverage your expertise in Java and cloud technologies to create robust, scalable solutions that meet the needs of our customers. Responsibilities
As a member of one of our scrum teams, you will be responsible for developing new features, base functionality, or fixes for our cloud-based payroll solution.
Design and build scalable, efficient backend systems for online payroll and pre-payroll solutions.
Perform hands-on development by writing clean, maintainable, and performant code using Java and Kotlin.

Enhance system performance by optimizing database queries, improving response times, and scaling backend services efficiently.
Requirements
5+ years of backend engineering experience (Java, Kotlin)
Strong understanding of backend architecture, distributed systems, and API design
Experience working with data-intensive applications and optimizing performance
Strong problem-solving skills and a “maker” mentality
Advanced communication skills in English (German language knowledge is a plus)
