Responsibilities

  • Actively take part in the implementation of our next generation user interface and directly contribute to the critical features and components
  • Design and implement core architectural components of our frontend systems
  • Ensure that designs from UI/UX designers are implemented with meticulous attention to detail while adhering to the architectural vision of the platform
  • Mentor junior developers to elevate their output quality and ensure their work meets established requirements
  • Create and maintain documentation for components, libraries, and architectural decisions
  • Establish and enforce testing standards, ensuring proper test coverage for all UI components
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge
  • Continuously improve the performance and user experience of our applications

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in frontend development with proven technical leadership experience
  • Strong experience with React and TypeScript in production environments
  • Experience with testing tools such as Jest and implementing comprehensive test strategies
  • Experience balancing technical leadership with individual contributor responsibilities
  • Deep expertise in component design, state management, and performance optimization
  • Proven ability to write clean, maintainable code while guiding others to do the same
  • Experience with both REST and GraphQL API integrations
  • Strong understanding of modern frontend development practices and patterns
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor developers of various experience levels
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing and maintaining component libraries and design systems
  • Experience with CSS-in-JS frameworks like Emotion/Styled Components
  • Experience with Material UI and similar frameworks
  • Understanding of Figma or similar design tools
  • Experience with Storybook for component testing and documentation
  • Experience working in distributed/remote teams

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $84,100 - $156,100.
