Job Description
While this is a hybrid position, it is based out of our corporate office in downtown Indianapolis so only candidates who live in or around the area for commuting purposes when needed will be considered. The general salary range is $21-$26/hr. and also includes full benefits (below):
The Data Analyst II supports the organization by working with the Corporate Impact & Analytics (CIA) team managers to ensure all technology tools available and analysis projects meet the needs of Goodwill staff, performance measurement, and reporting. This role reports directly to the Manager, Business Data Analysts and assists the manager in meeting the data visualization (DOMO) and data analysis needs of the organization.
Strong SQL knowledge and experience are essential for this role, as SQL is the primary tool used across all data systems within the organization. Additionally, while specific data visualization platforms are used, the role requires general experience with data visualization applications and/or databases, as skills are transferable across platforms.
The Data Analyst II's responsibilities are split between providing internal CIA Team support and providing direct support to Goodwill’s various program and education entities. The role supports and assists with the training of data vizualization and other technology tools, manages tier I and tier II data analysis projects, and oversees and manages the use of secondary support systems, while ensuring quality control. The Data Analyst II manages various tasks or components of larger analysis and technology tool projects and communicates and coordinates with other team members as needed. The Data Analyst II fosters a close relationship across the entire CIA team and the power users across the organization.
Example Duties and Activities
Manages and provides both Tier I and Tier II data analysis support.
Assists CIA Team managers in comprehending and delivering analysis to external Goodwill clients.
Manages ongoing support and build-out of support software (such as DOMO, Caseworthy, and Synergy) on behalf of Goodwill program and education entities.
Responsible for delivering advance reporting and troubleshooting and, if necessary escalating, critical issues
Assists in the management of software, reporting, and analysis projects and ensures all deadlines are met.
Creates and manages quality control of support systems.
Works with CIA Team members and power users to identify, create, and support new content.
Assists with, and at times leads, providing training of support systems.
May be asked to support new initiatives, grants, or other projects necessary for the continued development and support of Goodwill and the people we serve.

Industry Experience - Strong experience and comfort working with SQL across systems to extract, manipulate, and analyze data. Has worked assisting leaders in making data-driven decisions by collecting and identifying trends within data, communicating findings, and converting findings into actionable new initiatives to improve the quality of programs for an organization or department.
