What you’ll do

Seeking a results-oriented customer centric leader who can support the development of CTC’s Advanced Analytics, Modelling, and Experimentation function. The primary focus of this team is to develop analytics and measurement solutions, which inform decisions and help achieve the strategic goals of our Retail organization. This role is critical in the delivery of advanced modelling, experimentation design, and measurement.

Reporting to the AVP, Advanced Analytics, Modelling & Experimentation - the Manager, Advanced Analytics & Data Science is expected to work with a variety of colleagues and partners to achieve business outcomes that require a mixed use of virtual and CTC campus presence.JOB IS FROM: italents.netVIEW 

  • Develop a deep understanding of our Retail businesses and Loyalty Program. Establish the credibility required to influence business decisions which rely on analytics, modelling, and experimentation.

  • Support development of advanced quantitative and statistical analysis of retail and loyalty data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that can be used to improve business performance.

  • Establish robust measurement practices, utilizing latest technologies and advancements in machine learning to provide timely insights to decision makers.

  • Build and deploy Machine Learning/Deep Learning models which can adapt to constantly evolving data and problem sets.

  • Seek out opportunities to infuse statistical learning to support the decision-making process for clients, strategic initiatives and key business stakeholders.

  • Provide creative solutions, recommendations and timely advice that synthesize business needs and analytical/modelling concepts.

  • Build a knowledgeable, engaged, and aligned analytics, modelling, and experimentation team. Foster the development of talent and establish systems to ensure career progression within your portfolio of teams, Decision Support, and the analytics community within CTC.

Key Relationships:

  • VP’s and AVP peers within Finance, Marketing, Retail, and Operations Teams

  • Business Stakeholders throughout the retail organization.

What you bring

  • Post-secondary education, preferably ay the Graduate level, in Statistics/Math/Economics/Data Science/Computer Science or a related quantitative discipline

  • 3+ years experience leading analytical functions within large organizations, preferably within the areas of analytics, machine learning, modelling, measurement, and experimentation.

  • Deep understanding of Statistics and Measurement principles.  

  • Strong quantitative and statistical skills (regression/prediction, ML/DL techniques, statistical learning, model inference, model validation, experiment design, A/B testing, etc.)

  • 4+ years working experience with analytical tools and languages, including SAS, Python, R or MATLAB.

  • 4+ years of experience querying and analyzing large datasets with tools such as SQL, Spark, etc.

  • Experience working in BigData environments (Hadoop, Databricks, etc), as well as cloud environments (Azure, AWS, etc) strongly preferred.

  • 4+ years interpreting, synthesizing, and presenting complex models and analysis to non-technical senior business leaders.

  • Seasoned experience in developing and driving analytics strategy.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate both technical and business concepts, as well as strong presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated confidence and clear presentation style.
