Job Description
ATMRI at NTU is seeking a highly motivated Research Engineer to join its dynamic research team working at the forefront of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Multi-Agent Systems (MAS), and Natural Language Processing (NLP)/Large Language Models (LLMs) with a focus on high impact research in top tier AI conferences and journals.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research in:
Multi-Agent Systems and Reinforcement Learning (e.g., DDPG, PPO, MARL).
NLP including language understanding, generation, explainability and reasoning, and dialogue systems.
Develop and evaluate AI models, including:
Agent-based and LLM-based models using frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, HuggingFace Transformers, and LangChain.
Prototypes for LLM-powered decision-support systems and language interfaces.
Design and implement simulation platforms and experimental pipelines for algorithm validation.
Visualize simulation and experimental results to support decision-making and research findings.
Contribute to:
High-impact publications in top-tier AI conference and journals.
Internal knowledge transfer, and collaborative research efforts
Requirements:
Minimally a Bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Optimization, Computational Linguistics, or a related field.
Strong foundation in multi-agent systems, NLP and python programming.
Strong background in Mathematics and modelling.
Good English writing and communication skills for research work.
Able to work independently, work comfortably with team and external/international collaborators.
Experience in publication in top tier AI conferences/journals is desired.
Experience in prototypes and intelligent tools development is desired.
